About The Artist
Carrie Megan has a Certificate in Botanical Art & Illustration from the Wellesley College Friends of Horticulture, where she currently teaches. She has exhibited in several juried shows, including the American Society of Botanical Artists, A Natural Perspective at the Phoenix Art Museum in 2009, the 12th and 15th Annual International Juried American Society of Botanical Artists Exhibitions in 2009 and 2012 (Ursus Award for Merit), Green Currency at The NY Botanical Garden in 2011 (Honorable Mention) and The 69th Annual Audubon Artists Exhibition, in 2011 (Honorary John M. Angelini Award in Watercolor). Her work has recently been accepted into the 14th International Exhibition of Botanical Art & Illustration at The Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation for 2013.
Her work has also been exhibited widely with the New England Society of Botanical Artists and she has had two solo exhibitions, Botanical Interpretations, at the Wellesley Free Library in Wellesley, MA in 2008 followed by Botanical Explorations at the Newton Free Library in Newton, MA in 2010.
Carrie Megan is a member of the American Society of Botanical Artists and the New England Society of Botanical Artists.
