About The Artist
Carrie Megan has a Certificate in Botanical Art & Illustration from the Wellesley College Friends of Horticulture. Her work has been in international juried exhibitions at The Phoenix Art Museum with The American Society of Botanical Artists and in New York at The New York Horticultural Society in 2009. Her work was awarded honorable mention at the New York Botanical Garden’s exhibition, “Green Currency,” and received the Honorary John M. Angelini Award in Watercolor at the 69th Annual Audubon Artists National Exhibition at the Salmagundi Club in NYC, both in 2011.
Her work has also been exhibited with The New England Society of Botanical Artists at The Pembroke Public Library, The South Shore Natural Science Center, Wellesley College Botanic Gardens Visitor Center, The Arnold Arboretum of Harvard, The New England Flower Shows 2006 - 2008, The Boston Flower Show of 2010, The Chatham Creative Arts Center, and at The Ipswich Museum.
Carrie Megan’s first solo exhibit was at The Wellesley Free Library in Wellesley, MA in 2008, followed by a solo exhibition, ”Botanical Explorations,” at The Newton Free Library in Newton, MA in 2010.
Carrie Megan teaches Botanical Art at Wellesley College through The Friends of Horticulture. She is a member of The American Society of Botanical Artists and The New England Society of Botanical Artists.
